  • A Note from Amy Daubenspeck A Note from Amy Daubenspeck

Welcome to the Ashland Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB)!

It is hard to believe that a decade has gone by since my work began as Executive Director of the Ashland Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.  While so much has been accomplished in the last 15 years, there is so much more to do.

Tourism means big business in the State of Ohio and in Ashland as well.  We can all be ambassadors by showing our pride in where we live and touting the many things to do in Ashland County. When you are looking for something to do, take the time to investigate what's happening in your own backyard.  I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

    Executive Director

    Mission Statement

To Market Ashland County and the surrounding region as a desirable place to visit, live, work, and shop.

    What is a CVB?

A Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is a "destination marketing" organization. Both in Ohio and nationally, most CVBs are not-for-profit organizations that work independently under the auspices of a board of trustees.

The fundamental mission of a CVB is the promotion of visitor and business travel, which generates overnight lodging for a destination. CVBs are the most important tourism marketing organizations in the State of Ohio.  They are directly responsible for travel and tourism "product awareness" to visitors.  Billions of direct and indirect revenue and taxes are generated into the state and local economy due to the prevailing marketing expertise of Ohio's CVBs.
